So a 1958 Sixpence is 6 (old) pennies or half a shilling (Base 12 in those days). In today's money it would be worth 2½ pence (Base 10). Not much now, but in days gone by, sixpence was a good amount of money. Entrance fee for tonight, taking into account inflation over the years, would be about £1.50 |
