Individual Handicap Knockout Tournament

With our usual Finals nights venue at Earls Colne Recreation Club being unavailable this year the Braintree District Badminton League Semi-Finals took place on Friday 26th April 2019 at Danbury Sports Club with the Finals taking place on Friday 3rd May. Other semi-finals and restricted event finals were held previously at club venues. Everyone who attended were treated to some excellent badminton throughout the evenings. Trophies were presented by Honorary President Melvin Hutton and his sister Louise Murphy. |

Presentation of Trophies |
The trophies are presented tonight by a sibling combination that you all know and love! Melvin Hutton and Louise Murphy. Their badminton rivalry still exists after 30+ years and it is only a mere couple of weeks since Melvin middle a smash at Louise's head during a match against each other, but,,,, Louise had the last laugh as she won that particular game. Lets hope they behave tonight! In addition, a big thank you must go to Gina Smith for taking the tournament arranging on this year. Its not an easy job keeping everyone under control and coping calmly with the let down of our usual finals venue and organising here at Danbury as a fine replacement.
