The Braintree District Badminton League Finals took place on Thursday 1st May 2025 at Earls Colne Recreation Centre.

Everyone who attended were treated to some excellent badminton throughout the evening. Trophies were presented by David Pipe of Old Maldonians Badminton Club who has been an outstanding contributor to the League over many years.

 Presentation of Trophies 2025

 

Tonight the trophies will be presented by a familiar face to many: David Pipe of Old Maldonians Badminton Club.

David has been an enthusiastic player for as long as we can remember and a significant supporter of badminton in Essex. David dedicates a huge amount of his time to helping and organising his club, including bringing junior players through, as well as supporting the Braintree League and tournaments. David has also benefitted both club and league by introducing 3 sons and 1 granddaughter to the game!

Now! I don't usually add any photos of those who won the Plate and Restricted tournament finals as these are played on the Semi Finals night when we have both courts in action. But this year I'm making an exception! Why? because, as I write this Website, I can, And, secondly, I'm in one of them!!
