Finals Night 2015
The Braintree District Badminton League Finals took place on Friday 24th April 2015 at the Earls Colne Recreational Club. New for this year is the 'Youth and Experience' Mixed Doubles Final with Maureen and Clayton (Sandon) against Louise and Lloyd (LBC). This replaced the Ladies Singles Final which was played on one of the Semi-Finals nights.
Everyone who attended were treated to some excellent badminton throughout the evening. Trophies were presented by Tournament Secretary, Therese Hutton.

Presentation of Trophies
The trophies are presented tonight by Therese Hutton. Apparently invited back by popular demand and in her own words "she's cheap". I did hear something about she ha a free night and saw the line up of young men running about and decided to turn up to get the best view! She'll be watching very carefully but not just the line calls.
Mens Singles
Winner of the Mens Singles Final was Steve Tilbury, (LBC). Steve is pictured being presented with the Mens Singles trophy by Therese
Runner Up was Robin Langton (Sandon). Again, this was another excellent singles final!
Ladies Doubles
Winners of the Ladies Doubles Final were Sophie Bardrick and Vanessa Tarrant (Honywood). Sophie and Vanessa are pictured being presented with the Ladies Doubles trophy by Therese.
Youth and Experience Mixed Doubles
Winners of the very first Youth and Experience Mixed Doubles Final were Louise Murphy and Lloyd Edwards (LBC). Louise and Lloyd are pictured being presented with the Youth and Experience Mixed Doubles trophy by Therese.
Mens Doubles
Winners of the Mens Doubles Final were Clayton Hayman and Ross "I'll get in the picture somehow" Ranson (Sandon/LBC). Clayton and Ross are pictured being presented with the Mens Doubles trophy by Therese.
Mixed Doubles
Winners of the Mixed Doubles Final were were Janice Cunningham and Paul Leech (Sandon)
Unfortunately, Gina sustained an injury to her ankle so she and Steve had to conceed the final.
