The Braintree District Badminton League Finals took place on Friday 19th April 2013 at the Earls Colne Recreational Club. Everyone who attended were treated to some excellent badminton throughout the evening. Trophies were presented by Jan Trevellion and Jim Odell from Sudbury Badminton Club.

Presentation of Trophies
Our trophies this year are being presented by Jan Trevellion and Jim Odell, of Haverhill Badminton Club. Jan and Jim, or as Melvin put it in the programme 'Jim and Jim' are a double act that probably everyone present here on Finals Night would have played against at some time in their badminton career. They have entered the Individual Tournament for over 20 years, progressing through all the Mixed Doubles tournaments from the main tournament up to the Senior Veterans, so much so, they are now suggesting having a 'Masters' event!! Jim will have to get the oil out to his zimmer wheels for that one!!
Making their way to many final's they have given massive support to the League, so it very fitting they present our trophies tonight.
